A woman wrapped a Palestinian flag and set herself on fire in front of the Israeli consulate in Atlanta, USA. “An extreme political protest,” the local administration said. The woman’s body was burnt but she is still alive.
Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said the woman appeared in front of the Israeli embassy with a Palestinian flag in her hand. After that, before anyone could understand anything, he wrapped the flag on his body and set it on fire. Consulate security guards tried to stop him. But they failed. Be injured. The woman is admitted in a critical condition at a local hospital.
Police chief Schierbaum insisted that this was not a terrorist attack, but an extreme political protest. The Israeli embassy has expressed regret.
