Eating fiber foods are very necessary for the human body. We need fiber rich food to solve various problems in our body. Fiber also helps keep the stomach full for longer. And as a result, you can prevent yourself from eating unhealthy food. All dietary fiber comes from plant parts.

 

 

How does fiber care for the body?

 

1) Diabetic patients need to eat more fiber rich foods. Foods that contain fiber have a very low glycemic index. As a result, you can easily eat fiber to control diabetes.

 

2) Suffering from constipation? Then close your eyes and eat fiber rich food. Fiber is also great for reducing stomach upset.

 

3) Fiber lowers bad cholesterol ‘LDL’ levels. Along with this, it also helps to increase the cholesterol ‘HDL’ level which is beneficial for the body.

 

Some foods are good for fiber:

 

1) Fruits with peels are rich in fiber. Fruits like cucumber, apple, guava are rich in fiber. Guava contains pectin, oats and barley contain betaglucan, flour contains dextrim, fenugreek contains mucilage which is good for dietary fiber. But be sure to wash before eating.

 

2) Lentils, peanuts, various types of cereal fibers are rich in fiber. Try to eat small amounts of these foods every day. Such foods are particularly helpful in keeping the body healthy.

 

3) You can keep flour or all kinds of grain bread in every day meal. Also, you can keep boiled rice in the food list. It contains more fiber than other foods.

 

What percentage of dietary fiber does a food contain?

 

Not all foods contain dietary fiber. Some vegetables and whole grains have very good levels of fiber. Fenugreek contains 40 percent fiber, millet 20 percent, wheat 17 percent. However, flour, bread, noodles, fish, meat, eggs, crabs and any animal foods do not contain any dietary fiber. We get most of our dietary fiber from vegetables.

 

Kale: Kale is rich in nutrients.

 

Being rich in protein and fiber, eating them keeps weight under control. Nutrients like protein, folate and iron are found in pulses, beans, chickpeas, beans, peas, lentils etc.

 

Whole grains: If you want something high in fiber, eat whole grains.

 

Which includes wheat, barley, corn, brown rice, black rice, millet etc. Apart from fiber, it also contains nutrients like protein, B vitamins, antioxidants and minerals like iron, zinc, copper and magnesium.

 

Fruits: Some fruits like pears, strawberries etc are rich in fiber. Apart from fiber, it is also rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, calcium and zinc.
