Israel does not want a two-state policy

Israel does not want a two-state policy. Debate over two-state policy rages. Yesterday, the United Nations passed a ceasefire resolution in Gaza. Most countries want the Israel-Hamas war to stop this time. They also want Israel-Palestine to be two countries. But Israel does not want that. US President Joe Biden, while maintaining support for Israel, has been critical of its activities over the past few weeks. In this situation, American National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan arrived in Tel Aviv today. He had a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Later, President Isaac Herzog will also meet with Defense Minister Yoav Galant and members of Netanyahu’s war cabinet.

Israel does not want a two-state policy

Today, the Israeli ambassador to Britain, GP Hotoveli, said that they do not accept the two-state policy. In his words, “absolutely not… The Palestinians never wanted their country to be on Israel’s side.” Netanyahu echoed the same tone. He argued that as long as Hamas releases all the prisoners, the war in Gaza will not stop completely. Neither will the withdrawal of troops from Gaza. He also does not support the two-state policy. .

The war continues in Gaza today. Israeli airstrikes continue on the borders of Khan Yunis and Rafah in southern Gaza. Israel claims it captured more than 70 Hamas members from a hospital in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli forces (IDF) continue to attack and occupy hospitals ‘in the name of catching militants’, the Palestinian Ministry of Health claims. They are obstructing medical services. As a result of this, the Gaza Ministry of Health claimed that two patients died in that hospital. IDF spokesman Aviche Adrei claimed that Palestinian fighters with weapons surrendered at the hospital. According to UN sources, the hospital was surrounded by Israeli army tanks for a long time. There were also reports of armed clashes from the hospital premises. Gaza’s Hamas-run ministry said today that 179 people had lost their lives in the past day. The total death toll has reached 18,787. At least 51 thousand people were injured.
