4,175 sub-inspectors will be recruited in Central Armed Police Force

4,175 sub-inspectors will be recruited in Central Armed Police Force and Delhi Police. Candidates will be recruited for General Duty in Central Armed Forces and Executive Rank in Delhi Police. Candidates will be selected through ‘Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2024’ organized by Central Staff Selection Commission. Computer based examination will be held on 9th, 10th and 13th May.

Force wise breakdown of vacancies: Delhi Police: Male: 113 (General 45, Scheduled Caste 13, Scheduled Tribe 7, OBC 24, Economically Backward 12). Ex-Combatants 7 (General 3, Scheduled Caste 1, Scheduled Tribe 1, OBC 2). Ex-Combatant-Special Category 5 (General 3, Scheduled Caste 1, OBC 1). Women: 61 (General 28, Scheduled Caste 8, Scheduled Tribe 4, OBC 15, Economically Backward 6).

Central Armed Police Force: Border Security Force: Male: 847 (General 342, Scheduled Caste 127, Scheduled Tribe 64, OBC 229, Economically Backward 85). Women: 45 (General 18, Scheduled Caste 7, Scheduled Tribe 3, OBC 12, Economically Backward 5). Of these, 90 vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen. Central Industrial Security Force. Males 1,437 (General 583, Scheduled Castes 215, Scheduled Tribes 107, OBCs 388, Economically Backward 144). woman 160 (General 65, Scheduled Caste 24, Scheduled Tribe 12, OBC 43, Economically Backward 16). Out of this 160 vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen.

Central Reserve Police Force. Males: 1,113 (General 451, Scheduled Caste 167, Scheduled Tribe 83, OBC 301, Economically Backward 111). woman 09 (General 24, Scheduled Caste 9, Scheduled Tribe 4. OBC 16, Economically Backward 6). Out of this, 117 vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen.

Indo-Tibetan Border Police. Males 237 (General 81, Scheduled Caste 35, Scheduled Tribe 13, OBC 83. Economically Backward 25). woman 41 (common 14. Schedule Caste 6, Schedule Tribe 2. OBC 15, Financially Backward 4). Of these, 28 vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen.

Armed border force. Males: 59 (General 36, Scheduled Caste 3, Scheduled Tribe 5, OBC 1, Economically Backward 6). woman 3 (Scheduled Tribes 2. and BC 1). Out of these 6 vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen.

Educational qualification. Graduate in any discipline in all fields. Final year candidates can also apply conditionally. But in that case the certificate must be received by 1-8-2024. Light Motor Vehicle Driving License (Motor Cycle & Car) in case of male candidates for the post of Delhi Police Sub-Inspector.

Age: In all cases should be between 20 to 25 years as on 1-8-2024. That is, date of birth should be between 2-8-1999 to 1-8-2004. Schedules 5. OB C will get 3 years exemption. Ex-servicemen will get age relaxation as per rules. Widows, divorcees and legally separated women can apply if they have not remarried and are between 35 (38 for OBCs. 40 for Scheduled) years.

Physical measurements. Height 170 cm for boys (165 cm for Gorkha and Hill candidates, 162.5 cm for Scheduled Tribes) Chest uninflated and inflated 80 and 85 cm respectively (77 and 82 cm for Scheduled Tribe candidates). Height 157 cm for girls (155 cm for Gokha and hill candidates, 154 cm for SC candidates). In all cases weight should be according to height. Visual acuity in all cases except for spectacles with minimal near vision in good eye N-6. N-19 in evil eye. Minimum distance without glasses is 6/6 in good eye, 6/9 in bad eye. Broken knees, flat feet, varicose veins, slanting eyes are not allowed. Must have high color recognition ability.

Pay Scale: Tk 35,400-1,12,400. Candidates will be selected through written test, physical criteria verification, physical ability test and medical test. West Bengal Examination Center Kolkata (Center Code 4410).

The written test will be in two papers. In first paper 1. General Intelligence and Reasoning, 2.General Knowledge and General Awareness, 3.Quantitative Aptitude 4.English Comprehension. There will be a total of 200 questions of 50 per section. Total marks are 200. Time is 2 hours. The second paper will have English Language and Comprehension. Total marks are 200. 2 hour exam. Multiple choice question answer along with negative marking.

Physical ability tests for boys will include: 100m run in 16 seconds, 1.6km run in 6.5 minutes, 3.65m long jump, 1.2m high jump, 4.5m shot put (16 lbs). will be in the case of girls. 100m run in 18 seconds, 800m run in 4 minutes, 2.7m long jump and 0.9m high jump. Long jump, high jump and shot put events will have a maximum of three chances. Then medical examination. Ex-servicemen are not required to undergo physical fitness test.

Online application should be done through this website. http://ssc.nic.in Candidate must have active e-mail id. Last date of online application is 28 March. Note, candidate has to upload scanned photo and signature in JPG format while applying online.

100 rupees to be paid for the fee. Last date for submission of fee through online system via Vim App, UPI Net Banking, Visa/Master Card/Myentro/Rupee Debit or Credit Card is March 29. Female candidates, scheduled and ex-servicemen will not need fee.

Online application can be revised on 30th and 31st March.
