Care of baby’s milk teeth. As the saying goes, having teeth does not understand the value of teeth. A But almost none of us are aware of pre-teething, or baby teeth care. As a result, before the permanent teeth grow, there are major defects in the tooth structure. As a result of which one has to suffer till old age.
Problems like caries and cavities in the baby’s milk teeth are almost always there. Most parents think that this is a temporary tooth! After two days, this tooth will fall out and the permanent tooth will grow. So this problem is also temporary. There is no reason to worry about this.
The mistake is here. Although the tooth is temporary, this problem can have long-lasting effects.
Natal teeth
Just as teething has a specific time, so does reading. It is not very easy to grow the next permanent tooth and correct the error in its arrangement if the baby teeth fall out before it.
First of all, some babies are born with teeth, though few in number. It is called ‘Natal Teeth’. It adheres loosely to the gums. So these teeth should be removed as soon as possible after birth. Otherwise problems arise in breastfeeding. Many babies are deprived of mother’s milk because of natal teeth alone.
milk teeth
Now let’s talk about milk teeth. Usually these teeth start growing from the age of six months. Around the age of two to two and a half years, all milk teeth, i.e. a total of 20 teeth from top to bottom, grow. Again, from the age of five to five and a half, milk teeth start to fall and permanent teeth start to grow. Usually the front teeth of the upper molars start falling out first. The age of 11 to 12 years is when the gums begin to erupt. The only problem is if the tooth falls out or has to be removed for some reason before this particular time. Because permanent teeth will not grow before a certain time. As a result, there is a long gap between the shedding of baby teeth and the eruption of permanent teeth, causing the teeth to become irregular. Because normally the baby teeth fall out after the permanent teeth come in the gums. As a result, certain teeth grow in certain places. A long delay between the eruption of baby teeth and the eruption of permanent teeth can lead to the eruption of one tooth in place of another. There is a risk that the structure and arrangement of the teeth will be defective.
Therefore, dental care should not start after the eruption of permanent teeth, but before the eruption of milk teeth.
dental care
After birth, every feeding should be sterilized. The inside of the mouth should be cleaned with a soft cotton cloth. Although this is not always possible, this practice should be continued from the first teething. By the age of two years, after almost all teeth have erupted, regular brushing with a brush and paste should be done. Various brushes and pastes for children are available in the market. He has to choose any one of his convenience. From the age of three, the child should be trained to brush by standing in front of the mirror.
One more thing should be specially noted – teeth and gums should be cleaned after every meal. After the age of two years, the baby should stop feeding repeatedly. If you have to feed repeatedly, you should wash your mouth every time. The habit of breastfeeding during night sleep should be changed. Because it is not possible to clean the baby’s face at night.
On the other hand, when the baby learns to chew food, fruits like guava, pear, cucumber, apple etc. should be chewed. It prevents sticky carbohydrates like sucrose, lactose from sticking to the teeth. Also, chewing solid food instead of juice or pasty food will improve the structure of the jaw and the arrangement of the teeth.
