NHPC recruitment 2024, salary 50000₹- 160000₹ . 269 Trainee Engineers and Trainee Officers will be recruited in various departments – National Hydroelectric Power. Corporation (NHPC).
Appointments will be made to NHPC and subsidiary Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC). Both the organizations are under the Union Ministry of Power. Candidates will be recruited in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and
in Communication, Information Technology, Geology and Environment. Candidate must have cleared GATE-2023 exam.

Branch Wise Vacancy: Trainee Engineer: Civil: NHPC: 80 (General 34, Scheduled Caste 12, Scheduled Tribe 6, OBC 21, Economically Backward 7). Out of this 3 vacancies will be reserved for physically challenged. NHDC: 11 (General 5. Scheduled Castes 1. Scheduled Tribes 1. OBC 3, Financially Backward 1). Out of this 1 vacancy will be reserved for Physically Handicapped. Electric Consuls: NHPC: 72 (General 31, Scheduled Castes 10, Scheduled Tribes 5. & BC 19, Economically Backward 7). Out of this 3 vacancies will be reserved for physically challenged. Mechanical: NHPC: 74 (General 32, Scheduled Caste 11, Scheduled Tribe 5, OBC 19, Economically Backward 7). Out of this 3 vacancies will be reserved for physically challenged. Electronics and Communication: NHPC: 4 (General 2, Scheduled Caste 1, OBC 1).
Trainee Engineer/Trainee Officer: Information Technology: NHPC: 15 (General 8. Scheduled Caste 2, Scheduled Tribe 1, OBC 3, Economically Backward 1). Out of this 1 vacancy will be reserved for Physically Handicapped. NHDC: 4 (General 2. Scheduled Caste 1. OBC 1). Environment: NHPC: 6 (General 3, Scheduled Caste 1. OBC 2).
Educational Qualification: 4 years BE or B.Tech or B.Sc (Engineering) or AMIE (enrollment up to 31-5-2013) in the concerned or equivalent discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for the post of Trainee Engineer. Equivalent branches are-
Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems and High Voltage, Power Engineering. Production, Thermal, Mechanical and Automation Engineering in Mechanical Branch. Electronics and Communication in Electronics, Electronics and Tele-Communication, Electronics and Power, Power Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control Engineering. Also, in the GATE-2023 examination, EE in Electrical Engineering, CE in Civil Engineering, ME in Mechanical Engineering, EC in Electronics and Communication Engineering must be passed.
4 years BE or B Tech or B.Sc (Engineering) in Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate for the post of Trainee Engineer/Officer in Information Technology Branch. Or MCA. Also, CS (Computer Science and Information Technology) paper should be passed in GATE-2023 exam.
Post Graduate Degree in Geology or M Tech in Applied Geology for Trainee Officer Posts. M Tech degree holders should have studied Geology with Mathematics or Physics at graduation level. Along with this, GATE-2023 exam must have passed GG (Geology and Geophysics) paper.
BE or B.Tech in Environmental Engineering or M.Sc in Environmental Science with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for the post of Trainee Engineer/Trainee Officer in Environment Branch. Along with this, the ES (Environmental Science and Engineering) paper must have been passed in the GATE-2023 examination. Post Graduate in Social Work or MBA Degree in Rural Management is preferred.
Age: Should be within 30 years as on 26-3-2024. Schedules 5. OB Sira 3. Physically challenged will get 10 years and ex-servicemen will get age relaxation as per rules.
Pay Scale: Rs.50,000-1,60,000. with other facilities.
Initially the candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in the GATE exam. Selected candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Online application should be done through this website. www.nhpcindia.com Candidate must have active e-mail id. Apply with the help of GATE registration number. Online application can be done till March 26. Note, candidate has to upload scanned passport size photograph (within 50 KB in JPEG format), signature in black ink (within 25 KB in JPEG format) and all necessary documents (between 100 to 400 KB each in PDF format) while filling the online application. .
708 (including bank charges and processing fee) to be paid for the fee. Fees must be submitted online. Women, scheduled, physically challenged and ex-servicemen need not pay the fee.
Fill the online application properly and ‘Submit’. After submission take a copy of the registration slip and take a system generated print out. It doesn’t have to be sent anywhere. Keep it to yourself. will be needed later.
